Remember me, my God, be kind to me
I was going through a very rough week and, just when I thought that things could not get any worse, they did!
I had my car parked at the side of the road and after work, when I got into the car and removed the sunshade, I saw that there was a crack in the windscreen. It was not there before, and really, when I saw it, I felt like crying because it was really the last straw!
Feeling extremely upset, I called my cousin who works for the company that sold the car, informing her of the line that had appeared in the windscreen, caused by a tiny pebble that was probably kicked up by a passing vehicle. She suggested that I bring the car into the workshop for an inspection, and if the crack was not too deep, to get it welded!
That night when I prayed, I remembered the words of Nehemiah, the very last line in that particular book& Remember me, my God, be kind to me. (NCV).
Early the next morning, I drove the car to the workshop for the windscreen inspection. The technician saw the tiny dent and with much hope and anticipation, I asked whether it could be welded. He said No, and my heart dropped.
Then he said that he would try to claim warranty for the screen. Now, I was totally surprised! Firstly, my car is almost 2 years old and secondly, I had no idea that there was a warranty for the windscreen! Well, there was a warranty and for a period of the first 3 years! Whoopee! There was hope!
Photos were taken, and a few days later, I was informed that the warranty claim was approved. My windscreen was fixed in less than a week instead of a month, the time-frame that they had estimated initially.
God was indeed extremely kind to me!
