What a wonderful God we have!
I was born into a non-Christian family. Right from a young age, I used to stare at the stars and wonder where did we come from and where are we going to. I was fascinated by creation and could not deny the existence and power of God.
During my O-Level examinations, I was not in good terms with my elder brother, who had become a Christian. But he gave me a small New Testament Bible which answered my queries about creation. I joined the Youth fellowship in church and was exposed to messages about sin, death and eternal life. One fine Sunday morning in 1967, I walked to the front during an altar call and received Jesus Christ into my life. I was a person with such a bad temper back then but Jesus changed me.
I started wearing spectacles in 1962, when I was 14 years old. Sometime around 1979, I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. While I was at work a few weeks after that, I unintentionally removed my spectacles to wipe my cheeks and I realized that my eye sight was completely restored. I haven’t been wearing spectacles since. What a miracle!
